Is Zoho CRM right for you?

Good for

  • Very small teams that want a free CRM with real pipelines and workflows
  • Businesses already using other Zoho apps such as Desk, Campaigns or Projects
  • Teams that need a CRM interface in their own language
  • Companies that want to start cheap and move up editions as automation needs grow

Skip it if

  • You expect to hold more than 5,000 records on the free edition, because Free is capped at that total
  • You need a fixed all-in price that already covers setup, since consulting and migration assistance sit in the Ultimate edition or in separate paid support and services
  • You want a single named CRM with the largest third-party app catalogue; the Zoho CRM pricing and marketplace pages do not give an extension count

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Free edition with no time limit for up to 3 users, including leads, deals, workflows, reports and a mobile app
  • Paid editions start at $9 per user per month billed annually, below most per-seat rivals at the entry level
  • No contracts or commitments: monthly or yearly billing, and plans can be changed from within the app
  • Available in 28 languages, including Russian and Turkish

Cons

  • Free is capped at 5,000 records across all modules, 1 GB of file space and workflow automation for 5 routine tasks
  • Prices rise steeply with the edition: Standard $9, Enterprise $28 and Ultimate $36 on annual billing
  • Monthly billing costs noticeably more than annual: $14 against $9 on Standard and $45 against $36 on Ultimate
  • API access is metered by daily credits, and Free has a fixed 5,000 credits per day

Questions

Does Zoho CRM have a free plan?

Yes. The Free edition supports up to 3 users and, per Zoho, has no trial period, no credit card requirement and no forced upgrade. Zoho's free-edition page lists a cap of 5,000 records across all modules, 1 GB of cloud file space per organisation and workflow automation for up to 5 routine tasks. The API allowance is a fixed 5,000 credits per day.

How much does Zoho CRM cost per user?

With annual billing the pricing page shows Standard $9, Professional $16, Enterprise $28 and Ultimate $36 per user per month. On monthly billing the same editions are $14, $24, $35 and $45. Zoho says annual billing saves up to 34%, and local taxes such as VAT or GST are added on top. The page does not state a minimum number of users.

Are there contracts or lock-in?

Zoho states that you are not bound by any contracts or commitments: the service is pay-as-you-go, monthly or yearly, and you can switch plans from the Upgrade link in your account. Yearly subscriptions can be paid by bank transfer or cheque as well as by card or PayPal.

What do I get by moving from Standard to Professional or Enterprise?

Professional adds CPQ, email intelligence, process automation, widgets, inventory management and a Google Ads integration. Enterprise adds an AI sales assistant, journey orchestration, territory management, custom functions, wizards and customer portals. Ultimate adds enhanced feature limits, consulting, migration assistance, custom AI/ML and data preparation.

Does Zoho CRM have an API and what are its limits?

Yes. The current documentation is Zoho CRM API V8. Daily API credits depend on the edition: Free 5,000; Standard 50,000 plus 250 per user (maximum 100,000); Professional 50,000 plus 500 per user (maximum 3,000,000); Enterprise 50,000 plus 1,000 per user (maximum 5,000,000); Ultimate 50,000 plus 2,000 per user (unlimited maximum). Concurrency ranges from 5 on Free to 25 on Ultimate.

What support and setup help is available?

Paid editions include Classic support, and you can opt in to paid support plans promising faster responses, round-the-clock support and dedicated onboarding. Zoho also offers end-to-end setup services, with programmes for small businesses and enterprises, but their prices are not shown on the pricing page. Live chat is available 24x5.

Which languages does Zoho CRM support?

Zoho lists 28 languages, including Russian and Turkish alongside English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and others.
